David A. Porter

David A. Porter is the founding partner of Porter Gidaro & Bryant LLC and a seasoned litigator with more than 20 years of experience. Known for his strategic insight and relentless advocacy, Dave has built his career on helping employers, insurers, and third-party administrators navigate the most complex workers’ compensation cases across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Dave previously founded and led the workers’ compensation department at one of Philadelphia’s largest law firms, where he developed a highly respected practice focused on sophisticated workers’ compensation litigation. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for crafting aggressive, case-specific defense strategies that get results—always with a commitment to early and effective resolution when it serves his clients’ best interests. Recognizing the increasing importance of proactive claims management, Dave’s philosophy emphasizes securing favorable outcomes early in the litigation process whenever possible without sacrificing long-term defense strategy.

Dave earned his undergraduate degree in Communications from Ursinus College and his Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law in 2005. He was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey that same year. Early in his career, Dave clerked for Judge Charles Little in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Camden County, before entering private practice. He has since defended employers and insurance carriers across a broad range of matters, including medical malpractice, auto liability, premises liability, and workers’ compensation.

Deeply committed to the legal profession, Dave is a member of the Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and New Jersey Bar Associations, as well as the Camden and Burlington County Bar Associations. He was honored to serve on the Executive Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section, reflecting his ongoing leadership and involvement in shaping the practice area.
